Happy Mother’s Day

Growing older can be a wonderful adventure

if you remember that the important word is growing.

– I love you, Mom.

When I talk to my mother, we have conversations about what she has learned, the books she has read, and who she has met.  Each day starts with a plan.  This winter she started writing poetry.  In the spring she will plant her garden.  She dreams of moving to a new country.  And she wonders what the Universe has in store for her.

It is as if she looks in the mirror and still sees a young, red-haired woman with her entire life before her.

And you wonder where I get it?

What a gorgeous photo! Happy Mother’s Day! Mine was spent at the BDF hospital looking after my 24 year old daughter who was having her ear stitched together. What a fabulous job Dr. Amal managed to do. She split it having fainted on to her side table this morning. 10 stitches later and all is well! A mother’s care never ceases!

Yes my young mother had a different youthful beauty. Today her beauty radiates as a light of wisdom and healing.

Sorry to her about your daughter. You will always be a mother.

Thank you, my dear daughter, for being you and for being mother to those three lovely grandchildren of mine. Your continued excitement for life and living is inspiring. That is what we are on this plane to do, explore and love and show compassion. You are LOVE to me.
