    In Britain do they say, Give him a centimeter and he’ll take a kilometer? Ummmm…probably not.

    I’m appropriating the donkey version. Could apply in the US if one thinks of “donkey” as a metaphor.

      I’ve thought of appropriating it myself for the USA. The funny shot I didn’t get was the donkey had his mouth open and, like a dog, was enjoying the wind.
